For a long time, Poland was the home to the largetst Jewish community in the world. During 19th century,
Jews bought many Swamps and other desert lands from Ottoman Sultan, who ruled Palestine. Hitler's attack over the poland in 20th century, killing mass number of Jewish people made them migrate to other places around the world, especially to Palestine.
In 1917, British defeated Ottoman Empire and took control of Palestine. As Jews had the sympathy of British, they were able to enter Palestine very easily as refugees. British government issued a 'balfour declaration', stating the creation of a home nation for Jews starting the conflict between Jews and Arabs. Along with the time, the population of Jews in Palestine increased due to large number of migrants.
After the second world war, in 1947, UN organisation proposed a partition plan which includes withdrawal of British control over Palestine and partition of Palestine to create a Jews state and an Arab state. Jews supported it and Arabs rejected it led to commencement of "civil war" between them. It lasted till the evacuation of British from Palestine and creation of Israel in the mid of 1948. Many atrocities were committed by both Arabs and Jews during the war. Majority of Palestinians panicked and evacuated their homeland because of the "Deir Yassin Massacre" showcased by a mob, a part of Jewish community, killing 107 Palestinians.
Soon after the Creation of Israel, five Arab countries (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebenon and Syria) attacked Israel. The "Israel-Arab war" Commenced.
During 1949 "Lausanne Conference", Israel Proposed allowing 100000 refugees back to their homeland on condition that it would retain the territory it had taken and the Arab states absorbing the remaining around 600000 refugees to their state. Arab states rejected it, stating that it was immoral.
Palestinians were scattered to various parts of the world mainly in Gaza Strip near Israel and Chile in South America. Gaza acquired its boundaries during Arab-Israel war and was continued to be controlled by Egypt. In 1967, Israel brought Gaza under its control after a war with Egypt. After Few years, the Arab- Israel conflict became Israel- Palestine conflict as Arab nations slowly stopped intervening in Palestine concerns.
In 1993, an agreement was made between Palestine Liberation Organization and Israel Government, results in forming a " Palestinian Authority" which took control over Gaza.
In 2006, Hamas, a Palestinian Islamic Organisation Won the Palestinian parliamentary election and defeated the rival "Fatah" ( Palestinian Liberation Organization ) in a serious of violent clashes. Since June 2007, Hamas has governed the Gaza.
After Hamas control over Gaza, they executed many attrocities especially firing rockets on Israel, motor bombs which made Israel government fire back and block everything to Gaza (food , goods, fuel supply etc.,) leading to extreme shortage in Gaza. But Israel claims that Gaza is Self Sufficient. Adding to this, Egyptian Border to Gaza also closed making the condition worse. European Union, Israel, Japan, Canada and few other nations defined "Hamas" as a " terrorist Group".
On Jan 2008, Hamas destroyed the wall separating Egypt and Gaza and many Palestinians entered Egypt seeking Foods and Supplies. Egypt President Hosni Mubarak, after deep consultation, allowed Palestinians in but ordered to verify whether they carry any weapons. Later Israel eased up some influx of food and supplies to strip and then Egypt sealed its border after 12 days of Fight with Hamas.
Still the conflict between the Hamas and Israel continues. In June 2010, Egypt Border was opened for an indefinite period after the events of "Gaza Flotilla Raid" by Israel Defense Force Which involves boarding and seizure of the ships carrying food, medical aid and construction materials with an intent to remove the blockade to Gaza, commenced by Free Gaza Movement and some human rights organisation. "Gaza Flotilla Raid" lead to death of many activists and injury to many people which was severely condemned by many nations. Then the IDF unloaded the ship and requested the UN to oversee its transfer to Gaza.
Between January 2009-June 2010, approximately 2 billion pounds of aid, 137 million liters of fuel, and 50,000 tons of cooking gas were delivered by Israel to the Gaza Strip.
An interesting fact about Israel is that, it is now in great danger of being paid back by the Palestinians. As Israel was created mainly for Jews, now the birth rate and migration rate shows negative signs and the population of Palestinians in Gaza, Israel and West Bank already exceeded the Jew's population. And also, its treatment of Palestinians is severely condemned by many countries around the globe which increases the possibility of creation of separate Palestinian nation. The Talks over it had already began when US made its suggestion in Annapolis conference in Nov 2007.
If it happens, many Jews will be sent back to their homeland where they were from actually ( Russia, Poland etc). Finally they will be paid back for what they did to Palestinians for almost a Century.
